Brazilian travel agency B2W Viagens has signed a five-year contract extension with Spanish airline reservation platform supplier Amadeus, the latter company said in a release.

Under the terms of the agreement, B2W Viagens will continue to offer services to clients using the Amadeus Master Pricer Travel Board and the Amadeus Selling Platform solutions.

Australian mining software company Mincom will host a technology conference in Chile, the company said in a statement.

The event, called Asset Intensive Industry Summit, will take place April 5-7 in Santiago, and will feature speeches from global Mincom executives, as well as representatives from the local mining industry.


Latin American IT products distributor Aktio, a unit of Brazilian IT firm Grupo Açao, will host its annual kick-off event in Argentina, the company said in a statement.

The conference will be April 5 in Buenos Aires and will focus on company plans for 2011, as well as the formation of new business partnerships.


More than 11,000 SMEs have created online stores using Latin American e-commerce company MercadoLibre's (Nasdaq: MELI) MercadoShops service, the company said in a statement.

MercadoShops has been available for one year and is accessible to companies in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Colombia.
