Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO) has named Alejandro Sajón as Southern Cone channels manager, the company said in a release.

Sajón has worked in Cisco since 2000, and most recently served as finances manager for emerging markets.

The executive holds a degree in accounting from Argentina's Universidad de Belgrano and an MBA from the Universidad Austral.

IBM (NYSE: IBM) has cut the ribbon on a learning center at Tec de Monterrey Campus Estado de Mexico, IBM said in a statement.

Company and university officials will use the facility to teach mainframe skills such as application development.

Roughly 71% of users view online videos, while 62% attend webinars, 58% read whitepapers and 52% listen to podcasts.


Dominican Republic state power company CDEEE has agreed to acquire software from SAP (NYSE: SAP), the latter company said in a statement.

CDEEE will implement a mobile version of SAP BusinessObjects, which was integrated over the Sybase Unwired Platform.

The solution, which will be operative this month, will improve the quality of the information gathered in the field.
