US management and process automation solution provider GDS Link has opened an office in Argentina, GDS Link said in a statement.

GDS Link's new facilities, which are located in Buenos Aires, will be used as a springboard to other countries in the region.

"Latin America is growing at a fast pace, and financial service organizations need to enhance their credit risk processes to align with the growing economy," said Paul Greenwood, president of GDS Link.

Brazilian IT firm Scopus Tecnologia has received CMMI level 2 certification, the company said in a statement.

The certification evaluation was carried out by Crest Consulting, which examined Scopus Tecnologia's project implementation, security and innovation.

Scopus Tecnologia has operated for more than 35 years.


The Universidad de Chile hospital has acquired software from US IT solutions provider for the healthcare industry InterSystems, the latter company said in a statement.

The hospital implemented InterSystems' ERP solutions IconSystems, which includes modules in accounting, financial report generation, fixed asset administration, human resources, reporting and acquisition and inventory management.


Brazilian investment bank BTG Pactual has acquired a solution from US software provider Trading Technologies International, the latter company said in a statement.

BTG Pactual implemented the TTNET hosting solution, to provide access to São Paulo bourse Bovespa for domestic and international clients.
