The South American division of UK systems integrator Logica (LSE: LOG; Euronext: LOG) has received ISO 9001:2008 certification, the company said in a statement.

The norm validated the standards of Logica's services provided in South America, as well as the division's client contract model.

The certification was granted by consultancy Grupo BSI.

Taiwanese PC components manufacturer MSI Computer has inked a partnership with Brazilian distributor Move1, the latter company said in a statement.

Under the terms of the agreement, Move1 will distribute MSI Computer's motherboards, laptop, netbook, all-in-one PCs and video solutions in the local market.


Banco de Chile (NYSE: BCH) has acquired solutions from global foreign trade solutions provider Surecomp, the latter said in a press release.

Banco de Chile will implement Surecomp's finance back-office system allTRA and also the web-based allNETT solution.

Banco de Chile plans to spend a total of US$60mn on IT this year, according to previous BNamericas reports.


VendTek Systems, a Canadian developer and licensor of software for the global prepaid and financial services markets, has signed a deal with a Brazilian credit and debit processor, VendTek Systems said in a statement.

Both firms will team up to provide mobile transactions.

The name of the Brazilian company was not disclosed.
