Marcelo Ramos, a SAP expert in the ABAP Netweaver platform, has been appointed as operations coordinator of Neoris' software plant in Alphaville, in São Paulo state.
Neoris has another SAP professional on board: Fábio Fernandes, the company's outsourcing and telecom director, who specializes in customer relationship management solutions (CRM) platforms.
According to Neoris, with Ramos' appointment, the company is now the first Latin America IT company to have more than one SAP "mentor" on its team of professionals.
Colombian human resources software provider SQL Software has appointed Andrés Gómez Silva as country manager for its Chilean operations, the firm said in a release.
Gomez Silva will be in charge of adding new clients and expanding SQL's business. The executive has more than 10 years of experience in human resources within major companies and multinationals in Chile.
Slovakian antivirus and security software developer Eset has announced the winners of its yearly Eset Smart Channel contest, which recognizes distribution channels in Latin America, the company said in a statement.
This year, the company gave awards for performance of its channels in two different categories - Corporate/SME and Consumer/Retail.
Inforc Ecuador won in the first category, while Sistec Perú SAC was the winner in the second.

The Brazilian unit of value-added IT distributor Westcon Group has received six prizes from specialized magazine Computer Reseller News (CRN) under the areas of best ICT product and solution distributors in Brazil, Westcon Brasil said in a statement.
The categories in which Westcon Brasil's two business units - Comstor and Westcon - were awarded are: value-added distributor, geographic range, billing and commercial policy, website, lead generation policy, and training and certification.
