Roundup: Positivo, Informatica, Open Systems, Hinduja Global Solutions

Brazilian PC maker Positivo Informática (Bovespa: POSI3) has tapped Ricardo Fernandes Pereira as VP of finances and director of investor relations, the company said in a statement.

Fernandes previously served as Positivo's lead for strategy and new business.

The executive holds a degree in electrical engineering from Brazil's Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo.

The Latin America division of US corporate solutions provider Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq: INFA) has named Francisco Chang as director of channels and alliances, the company said in a statement.

Chang has more than 15 years of IT experience, which includes stints in Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL) and SAP (NYSE: SAP).

The executive has a degree in electrical engineering from Brazil's Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo, as well as an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Miami-based business and operations support systems (BOSS) provider Open Systems saw new client sales increase 79% last year, the company said in a statement.

Open Systems expanded its client base to include firms such as Chilean cable operator VTR and Colombian gas distributor Promigas.

Open Systems has carried out more than 70 product installations in 14 Latin American countries.

Indian outsourcing firm Hinduja Global Solutions is considering opening a center in Latin America, according to a report in The Economic Times.

The facility will be opened during the company's FY12, according to CEO Partha De Sarkar.

Hinduja's offering includes back office processing and contact center services.
