The Brazilian division of US software firm Quest Software (Nasdaq: QSFT) has tapped Daniel Garbuglio as country manger, the company said in a statement.

Garbuglio's IT experience includes stints in SAP (NYSE: SAP), Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL), Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and Ernst & Young.

The Argentine division of Spanish administration software provider Grupo Softland has added several new ERP clients, the company said in a statement.

New customers include local technology importer Gasei, music company Music Brokers Argentina and also product distributor Lavieri.

Softland Argentina now has more than 500 large and medium-sized clients.


The Argentine division of IBM (NYSE: IBM) will host its Software Solutions Forum 2011, the company said in a release.

The event will take place in Buenos Aires on March 17 and will focus on the application of software across different vertical markets.


Brazilian newspaper Valor Econômica will host a conference on ICT infrastructure preparations for the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games, the newspaper said in a statement.

The conference will take place on March 24 in São Paulo and will feature speeches on ICT challenges and business opportunities.
