US IT products distributor Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq: TECD) has launched its advanced infrastructure solutions division (AIS) in Latin America and the Caribbean, the firm said in a statement.

The new AIS division will provide solutions-oriented sales support to value-added resellers across Latin America and the Caribbean.

"The extension of our AIS division into Latin America and the Caribbean further strengthens Tech Data's data center practice and positions us to capitalize on the strong demand for data center infrastructure products throughout our Americas region," said company president of the Americas region Murray Wright.

US pricing and revenue management software provider PROS (NYSE: PRO) has launched its new channel program with Habber Tec as its first reseller, the former said in a statement.

With operations in São Paulo and Curitiba, Brazil; Lisbon, Portugal; and Madrid, Spain, Habber Tec plans to resell the PROS Pricing Solution Suite for business-to-business companies through its sales executives in the three regions.

Habber Tec focuses on business solutions based on the application of technologies of data warehousing, data quality, business intelligence, data mining and business process management.


The VIII Andean contact center congress will take place from May 11-13 in Bogotá, Colombia's contact center and BPO association said in a release.

In the framework of this congress, the association will also hold the first international BPO forum.


Argentina's San Luis provincial lower house has installed a digital and e-vote system implemented by local firm Coradir, the latter said in a statement.

The system includes 48 terminals for deputies and authorities of the body.

Coradir has offices in San Luis and Buenos Aires.
