California-based Saba Software saw continued growth in emerging markets, including Latin American operations, in its fiscal first quarter 2011, ended August 31, chairman and CEO Bobby Yazdani said in a conference call with investors.
The executive said the company will focus on continuing to expand internationally as "we have seen healthy growth from emerging markets."
Saba Software's first quarter revenues reached US$30.6mn, up 13% compared to US$27.2mn in the year-ago period.
The company posted a US$5.79mn net loss in the quarter, compared to a US$1.69mn net loss a year ago.
The company added 32 new enterprise customers compared to 31 in the year-ago period, Yazdani added.
Saba Software expects total revenues for fiscal 2012 to be in the range of US$130mn-133mn.
