US software provider SAS has opened an office in Rio de Janeiro, its third in Brazil, the company reported.
The firm already has offices in São Paulo and capital Brasília.
From the new facility, SAS expects to boost business in the Rio area and in the Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo states, as well as others in the northeastern region.
The Rio de Janeiro office will also focus on several vertical markets, including oil and gas, telecommunications, government, utilities and retail.
The company has had presence in Brazil's market since 1996 and has some 150 clients across the country.
