Savvis set to launch local operations following agreement with Alog

US corporate data services provider Savvis Communications will start operating in Brazil after signing a deal with local data center company Alog Data Centers to use its established infrastructure, online media source Computer World reported.

"We have chosen Alog because of its strong name in the Brazilian market and because the company provides premium collocation services with well-known, worldwide quality," Savvis director Paul Harker was quoted as saying.

The official date for operational launch was not reported.
