SCM Consultores ends first half with 41.6% growth, new office in Mexico

Friday, September 2, 2011

Chilean IT systems integrator SCM Consultores ended the first half of 2011 with 41.6% top-line growth compared to the same period last year, SCM general manager Miguel Ángel Alfaro said in a statement without providing hard figures.

The executive attributed the results to a sales increase in the portfolio of US workforce management solutions provider Kronos, for which SCM is the local partner. SCM also operates Kronos' businesses in Argentina and Peru.

"When we started to work with Kronos in 2007, their products and solutions were almost a secret. Today their various applications have begun to spread their reach," Alfaro added.

The growth is also a result of the company's strategy to reinforce its commercial structure, particularly during last year, he said. SCM is currently focusing these efforts in Argentina, Peru and Uruguay.

The executive said he expects 40% growth for the whole year.

The company has also expanded in Latin America with a new office in Mexico, and is planning to open a facility in Ecuador next year.
