Brazilian IT solutions firm Stefanini has opened a new unit in Vitória, Espírito Santo state, to meet oil giant Petrobras' (NYSE: PBR) requirements under a four-year extension contract, online source Computer World reported.
Stefanini has had a partnership agreement with Petrobras for the last 12 years, and which has now been expanded to focus on logistics.
Additionally, the unit will provide services to public and private sector clients based in Espírito Santo.
Stefanini, with an additional 68 units in 27 countries, has appointed 80 professionals to the new office.
The company is also planning to establish a software factory in Vitória in two years to meet local demand, the director for the new unit, Arabela Del Cueto, was quoted as saying.
