Spain's Telefónica (NYSE: TEF) and Siemens Enterprise Communications have reached a cooperation agreement aimed at the joint provision of unified communications (UC) services to corporate clients and public administrations in Latin America, the companies said in a joint statement.
The agreement was ratified by Telefónica's managing director for Latin America, Daniel Jiménez, and Humberto Cagno, Siemens Enterprise Communications VP and Latin America director.
Under the agreement, both companies will work together to offer comprehensive and integrated voice and data services to Latin America.
This solution will help companies automate processes and improve productivity, while governments will be able to use it as a tool to design their digital agendas and improve services to citizens.
The agreement includes, among other activities, training teams from both companies.
