Travel and leisure has been a key sector in Spanish online discount site LetsBonus' reaching of the more than 1mn-user milestone in Argentina after 10 months of operations there, company representative for Argentina, Carolina Mandil, told BNamericas, expanding on a company announcement.

"We've also started to offer other products, like technology and esthetics," said the executive, who credited the growth to alliances with new partners to offer more diverse services and products.

The company's main partners in Argentina are MercadoLibre, Havana and Fundación Leo Messi.

LetsBonus has invested more than 3mn euros (US$4.2mn) in Argentina and has added 100 new workers to its staff.

Argentina is the second country in Latin America where LetsBonus kicked off operations, after Mexico. Chile is number three and will be soon followed by Colombia and Uruguay. For now, the company will stay out of Brazil due to the high investment needed to set up in the country, the executive had said previously.
