The World Information Technology and Services Alliance (Witsa) will open in Mexico next week its regional office for Latin America, according to a release from the organization.
The launch is slated for Wednesday (Apr 6) during a ceremony to take place at the offices of Mexican IT association Canieti, where Witsa secretary general James Poisant will outline plans and actions to take in order to strengthen IT growth and development in Mexico and throughout the region.
Founded in 1978, Witsa is a consortium of more than 70 national ICT industry associations. According to the alliance, its members represent more than 90% of the world ICT market.
Witsa advocates international public policies to advance ICT growth and development. It also promotes industry cooperation and strengthening via the sharing of knowledge, experience and critical information; publishes global ICT research to shape the industry; and holds ICT-related events.
