The government of Bolivia's Cochabamba department has launched the public tenders for projects totaling 90mn bolivianos (US$12.8mn), local paper Los Tiempos reported.
The works include a total of 46 projects to be carried out in the department's 16 provinces.
Projects include the construction of bridges, improvements and repairs to roads, irrigation systems, rainwater drainage networks and the construction of small dams and reservoirs.
The initiatives were submitted to regional authorities by municipal governments, according to governor Sergio Ledezma.
The price tag of each project varies from 1mn to 5mn bolivianos, the department's planning secretary Fabián Valeriano said.
The government expects to launch further tenders in March, he added.
