Mexico's Guanajuato state has launched 14.9bn pesos (US$1.09bn) worth of infrastructure projects under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
The state also plans to tender construction of two more highways using the same model, according to a state government release.
Collaboration between the public and private sectors has ensured the reduction or elimination of project delays and overruns, said state governor Juan Manuel Oliva.
PPP schemes have brought 176 new companies to Guanajuato with a total investment of US$6.64bn, according to the release.
