Bolsa de Valores de Lima S.A. (BVL) offers listed securities trading services in Peru. The company provides services, systems and mechanisms for the brokering of publicly-offered securities, derivatives and instruments. It also offers structured financial products, information services and electronic financial market technology, as well as acting as an originator and/or legal advisor on asset securitization processes. The company, with more than 156 years in the Peruvian financial market and more than 260 issuing companies, operates under the supervision of the country's securities regulator SMV. In 2014 BVL signed an agreement with S&P Dow Jones Indices to license, distribute, and govern all of the BVL indices, including a new version of its flagship index, IGBVL. It also launched the S&P/BVL Peru select index, the first index to result from the newly signed agreement. The index is designed to measure the performance of the largest and most liquid stocks listed on the Lima stock exchange.
