Acciona Construcción S.A., controlled by Spanish Acciona family of companies, is a global construction company with a presence in more than 25 countries. Acciona Construcción has built over 5,500km of highways, more than 12,260km of railways and over 600 tunnels and 600 bridges. It also operates in the water infrastructure sector, with the construction of more than 30 ports and over 50 dams across 12 countries. In Latin America, the company has offices in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Panama. Its major projects in the region include the terminal of Nuevo Aeropuerto Internacional de Ciudad de México, a four-story building with a total area of approximately 743,000m2 which will serve 68 million passengers a year, and due to start operations by 2020; and works at Brazil's Fortaleza state Metro network, consisting of a 12.4km tunnel, 12 subway stations and three ventilation shafts, which is expected to come online in 2018. Acciona Construcción is based in Madrid.
