US-based telecommunications company C&W Networks is C&W Communications Plc's. (CWC) most prominent subsidiary, and provides broadband and IP capacity, ethernet and MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) solutions to telecom carriers, TV cable companies, Internet service providers and network integrators in 42 Latin American countries through a 48,000km subsea optic fiber network and a 24,000km land network, covering the Caribbean, Central American and Andean region markets. In 2015, parent company CWC acquired a 100% stake in Columbus International Plc., and integrated its operations within C&W Networks. In 2016 CWC was taken over by Liberty Global. The company is headquartered in Miami and serves over 250 local and international carrier operators through multiple Network Operation Centers.
