Description:
Argentina's Genneia, formerly known as Emgasud, is engaged in natural gas distribution and transmission and electricity generation. The firm also designs and develops energy projects using renewable sources, including wind and solar thermal technologies. Its power generation assets are located in the provinces of Entre Ríos, Buenos Aires and Chubut, and include thermal power plants Bragado (50MW), Olavarría (41MW), Paraná (41MW), Concepción (41MW), Matheu (41MW), Pinamar (20MW) and Las Armas (35MW), the Rawson wind farm (77.4MW) and two isolated power plants, Río Mayo (3.5MW) and Gobernador Costa (3.5MW). Genneia, through its subsidiary Genneia Desarrollos S.A., features two other wind farms Madryn I (50MW) and Madryn II (50MW) which will be set up near the Chubut province. The company also markets energy through its subsidiary Enersud Energy. Genneia was founded in 1991 and is based in Buenos Aires.
