UEP Penonomé II S.A. is a Panamanian subsidiary of InterEnergy Holdings, a power generation and fuel and electricity distribution company in Latin America and the Caribbean. Panama City-based UEP Penonomé II has built and is operating the 215MW Laudato Sí wind farm in Penonomé, Coclé province. The first tower connected to the grid in February 2015. The Laudato Sí plant comprises the second and third phases of the Penonomé wind farm project. The first phase of 55MW was implemented in 2012 by Unión Eólica Panama (UEP), a subsidiary of Spain's Unión Eólica Española (UEE). An additional 20 turbines are contemplated in phase IV which would bring total installed capacity to 337.5MW. InterEnergy adquired UEP Penonomé II in 2014.
