Congress Members Oppose Pequiven Sale

Members of Venezuela's Congress strongly oppose the proposed 49% sale of state-owned petrochemical company Pequiven.

Pequiven is currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of Venezuela's state oil company Pdvsa. Under the current privatization terms being discussed, the state would retain a 51% shareholding and would finance a corresponding percentage of future investment.
