America Movil spinoff generates $236mn in 1st year

Mexican telecom giant América Móvil's spinoff company Telesites has recorded revenues of 4.23bn pesos (US$236mn) in 2015, local business newspaper El Financiero reported.
Tower rentals brought in 63.3% of income. The company also reported an Ebitda of 2.45bn pesos, representing a 57.8% margin.
The company started with 10,785 towers in January 2015, and by end of 4Q15 had 12,874 across the country.
América Móvil separated its mobile towers into Telesites as part of a response to Mexico's new telecommunications laws in 2014. Even so, the company has been struggling under the weight of the regulatory pressure.
