Argentina opens bids for GNEA pipeline stretch

The Argentine government announced it has opened the economic offers for two tenders related to a 215km stretch of the GNEA natural gas pipeline in Santa Fe province.

The four consortiums that qualified and submitted a bid for the section's trunk line are Chediak-UCSA-Conta SRL, BTU-Esuco-Víctor Contreras, Techint-Panedile and Contreras Hnos-Helport-CPC-Rovella Carranza.

The consortiums Chediak-UCSA-Contra SRL, BTU-Esuco-Víctor Contreras and Contreras Hnos-Helport-CPC-Rovella Carranza qualified and had their bids opened to build the branch lines that will supply eight localities in the province.

The Santa Fe stretch will require investments of 2.3bn pesos (US$270mn), the Argentine government said in a release.

The entire GNEA pipeline will include 4,144km of gas pipelines, 8 compressor plants and 165 regular plants.
