Batlle, Lula ink infra integration agreement

Uruguay's President Jorge Batlle and his Brazilian counterpart Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva this week signed an agreement to push forward transport infrastructure initiatives and projects, Uruguay's public works ministry announced. The agreement places special emphasis on projects that fall under the South America regional infrastructure integration program IIRSA, as well as the need of joint efforts to seek international financing.
