BNDES publishes notice for diamond mine sale
Brazil’s development bank BNDES published the notice for the sale of a diamond mine in Minas Gerais’ Romaria municipality that has been paralyzed since 1984, setting a minimum price of 1.1mn reais (US$207,550).
Proposals must be submitted by November 28 and the auction will take place online on November 29 via this link.
"Only bidders that have submitted the proposal on time will participate in the open stage. The bidder that submits the highest bid and those that have bids with a value equal to or up to 10% lower than the highest bid will be classified. In the event that there are not at least three bidders able to bid according to the previous criterion, those who present the highest value proposals will proceed to the bidding stage, up to a maximum of three bidders," BNDES said in a statement.

BNDES took control of the asset after former owner Exdibra failed to pay off a debt.
