
Brazil's primary aluminum output down 12.5% in October
Brazil's primary aluminum output in October reached 105,000t, a 12.5% drop year-on-year, according to national aluminum association Abal.
Total production was 1.1Mt in the first ten months of 2013, down 8.9% compared to the same year-ago period.
Companies associated with Abal are CBA, part of local conglomerate Votorantim, US-based Alcoa (NYSE: AA), multinational resource group BHP Billiton (NYSE: BHP) and aluminum producers Albras and Novelis (NYSE: NVL).
