Chile to have lowest LatAm inflation in 2013 - Consensus Forecast
The Latin American Consensus Forecast sees Chile with the lowest inflation in Latin America this year and Peru with the lowest inflation in 2014, according to a report from the Peruvian central bank. Consensus Forecast predicts year-end inflation for Chile of 2.4% followed by Colombia and Peru with 2.7% each. In 2014, Peru is forecasted to report the lowest year-end inflation rate at 2.5%, followed by Chile and Colombia with inflation rates of 3% and 3.2%, respectively. Consensus Forecast places Venezuela as the Latin American country with the highest inflation both this year and in 2014 at 32% and 26.6%, respectively.
