Ecuador launches tender for Los Ríos wastewater works

The Ecuadoran city of Quevedo in Los Ríos province launched a US$7mn tender to rehabilitate parts of its wastewater and sewer system.

The project involves rehabilitating eight pumping stations that have been inoperative since 2013, as well as expanding the sewer network to prevent untreated wastewater from 699 plots of land reaching the Quevedo river, documents show.

Bids will be opened on September 29, while the contract is expected to be awarded on October 7. Documents can be seen here.
