The works are due to begin operations in 4Q16 and are part of seven projects announced in May to improve the Caribbean coast's regional grid and include the 500kV Cerromatoso-Chinú-Copey line, the 220kV Caracolí substation, the 220kV Caracolí interconnection line and the 220kV Termocol line.
