Peru extends transmission call deadline

Peruvian authorities modified the bidding timetable for a concession call to reinforce transmission infrastructure in Lima and Puno regions.

Private investment promotion agency ProInversión extended to October 24 the deadline to pay the participation fee and submit qualification documents for project Nueva Lurín. Qualifying companies and groups will be announced on November 11, with offers due the following month.

The agency also released the first contract version for transmission concession call Carapongo.

Other transmission concession calls underway are Azángaro-Juliaca-Puno and Industriales-Córpac.

Planned investment in transmission projects in Peru starting in 2015-16 and coming online by 2020 reaches US$531mn.
