Power offtake drives Peru's TGP deliveries

Peru hydrocarbons transporter TGP, which handles Camisea natural gas and NGLs, transported 17Mm3/d in the third quarter, up 7.7% year-on-year and a 2.2% increase from 2Q14.

Gas shipments to power generators rose 12.4% year-on-year, according to a company results report.

Sequentially, deliveries to regulated clients – through distributors Cálidda and Contugas – grew 1.1% and 11%, respectively. Shipments to large industrial users slid 6.9%.

In addition, the transporter delivered 15.8Mm3/d to Perú LNG in 3Q14.

Projects underway to increase TGP's transport capacity to 920Mf3/d (26.1Mm3/d) from 610Mf3/d are a compression plant, a 31km loop between Chilca and Lurín, and a 20km branch to Ayacucho.
