With the aim of continuing to provide sources of clean and sustainable energy in our country, Solek Group, through its subsidiary PV Power Chile, will soon install new projects in the regions of Atacama, Valparaíso, O'Higgins and Maule.
These projects, consisting of small-scale solar plants, will total 62.6MW, which will feed directly into the distribution network, and are mainly in the Maule Region with 38.6MW, through the Villaseca projects, Santa Fe, Salamanca, Villa Alegre, El Paso and Meco Chillán.
For its part, Valparaiso will house 6MW of installed capacity with the Los Paltos and Cabildo Interior projects, as will O'Higgins, which will also provide 6MW through La Muralla and Quinamávida, while another 9MW will be supplied from Atacama, through the Alianza project .
Jorge Leal, Country Manager of PV Power Chile, affirms that "solar energy has an unparalleled growth projection, and it is estimated that from five to 10 years it will be, together with the rest of NCRE, an extremely important source of the energy matrix "
"We are part of that future that is written today, and we use all our international experience, accompanied by state-of-the-art technology, to develop more and more projects that are not only located in the north of the country, but also give communities opportunities unprecedented in terms of energy supply and land use ".
The projects in these four regions are part of the Solek Group's macro strategy, to deliver installed capacity in Chile of 250MW over the next two years, becoming the largest local investor in the Small Distributed Generation Media segment (with up to 9 MW).
