The project "Transmission line Puerto Quijarro - San Juan del Mutún - Puerto Busch at 115 kV", will meet the electrical power requirement of the Puerto Busch river project and the initial requirement in the construction stage of the Cerro Mutún exploitation project, In addition, it will be able to meet the growth of the demand for electricity in the area.
It is located geographically in the department of Santa Cruz, German Busch province, near the border with the countries of Brazil and Paraguay and will be made up of 3 associated electrical substations and two sections of transmission lines.
The Puerto Quijarro substation will be located between the towns of Puerto Suarez and Puerto Quijarro, the first section of the transmission line begins at the Puerto Quijarro substation, traveling approximately 25 kilometers in a southerly direction within the German Busch province to the new San Juan substation. del Mutún, the second section of the project leaves the San Juan del Mutún Substation, traveling approximately 115 kilometers in a southerly direction within the German Busch province to the new Puerto Busch substation.
The Project will reinforce the isolated electrical system between the towns of Puerto Suarez and Puerto Quijarro, for which it is intended to meet the following objectives:
