Enersis' capital increase 61.7% subscribed

Chilean power sector holding Enersis (NYSE: ENI) sold US$1.27bn of new stock in its capital increase by June 11, the company said in a statement to Chile's securities regulator SVS. The amount represents 61.7% of the total increase. The Elesur holding through which Endesa Spain owns Enersis bought US$1.22bn and third parties the remaining US$54.8mn, the statement said.
