EP Petroecuador transported a total of 83,519,044.82 barrels of crude oil in the third quarter
This Petroecuador release was published using machine translation.
Between January and September 2023, EP Petroecuador transported through the Trans-Ecuadorian Pipeline System (SOTE), a total of 83,519,044.82 barrels of Ecuadorian crude oil, which corresponds to the fulfillment of 99.13% of the proposed goal.
Likewise, during the third quarter, the national pipeline network transported a total volume of 72,564,222.31 barrels of clean products derived from petroleum and LPG, which represents 101.87% compliance with the proposed goal.
The SOTE stores, transports and dispatches Ecuadorian crude oil from the different oil fields, which are located in the Amazon region with continuous operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, crossing the Ecuadorian geography from the northeastern Amazon region, up through the Andes Mountains in the direction of the Port of Balao, on the Pacific Coast, making it one of the most important infrastructure works in Ecuador.
Clean products are fuels such as gasoline, Diesel, Jet Fuel, LPG, among others.
The efforts of the technical staff of the public company allowed the use of the infrastructure to recover optimal safety inventory levels, given the increase in fuel consumption, mainly Diesel for the electrical sector, and the increase in vandalism and criminal activities, regarding to clandestine drilling.
The public oil company has eleven (11) clean product terminals, located in Quito, Ambato, Riobamba, Cuenca, La Troncal, Santo Domingo, Pascuales, Salitral, Baltra, Loja and Manta, for the dispatch of clean products derived from hydrocarbons and three (3) bottling plants in Esmeraldas, Shushufindi and Chorrillos for LPG throughout the national territory.
