Fire Affects Lubnor Plant in Fortaleza

A fire at Brazilian oil lubricants and derivates company, Lubnor's plant in Ceara state capital, Fortaleza will affect production for some 15 days, newspaper Gazeta Mercantil reported. The fire occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning. Lubnor, a subsidiary of state oil company Petrobras, has sufficient reserves to supply its markets until production is normalized, the company said. At the beginning of the year, US$1.77mn was invested in the plant to double productive capacity to 60,000 cu. m. per year.
