Eng. Félix Sosa thanked the President of the Republic of Paraguay, Mr. Santiago Peña for the trust in him and in the great work team made up of ANDE officials, to continue leading such an important and strategic institution. for the Paraguayan electricity sector and for the development of the country.
He also added that Paraguay is a country rich in clean and renewable electrical energy and with the investments made in the last 10 years both in the transmission and distribution system, Paraguay has been positioned globally to take a leap in industrialization. and thus contribute to the fulfillment of one of the main goals of the government of Santiago Peña, which is the creation of 500,000 jobs. Likewise, he mentioned that these investments and electrical infrastructure works provide better conditions for the revision of Annex C of Itaipu Binacional.
On the other hand, President Sosa stated that the works foreseen in the ANDE Master Plan will continue to be carried out, in addition to the implementation of the second generation of electrical energy, betting heavily on distributed generation from different sources, but mainly solar energy. , battery bank, as well as the small hydroelectric plants of internal rivers, thus taking advantage of the energy potential of the country, thinking mainly of the diversification of the matrix of electric power generation, and continue with the availability of clean energy and renewable energy for the next generations of our country.
Other of the actions announced by the head of ANDE, is the digitalization of 100% of the electrical distribution system with the implementation of the Smart Grid, as well as the incorporation of technology in the commercial area with the installation of smart meters that will allow a Greater transparency and control in billing for electricity consumption, as well as a technological tool to reduce electrical losses.
