Hexagon acquires distributor of its Intergraph software

Bnamericas Published: Tuesday, December 03, 2013

Swedish technology company Hexagon has acquired Santiago-based software distributor Pixis and its distribution monopoly on US-based engineering and geospatial software company Intergraph's solutions in Chile and Peru, according to a company press release.

Hexagon has owned Intergraph since July 2010, but Pixis has been the sole distributor of Intergraph's products in Chile and Peru since 1996.

In that time, Pixis has developed expertise in the region's metals and mining industries as well as the implementation of Intergraph's solutions in the region, which was one of the primary reasons for the acquisition, according to the release.
