IN BRIEF: Ten bid for Costa Rica airport studies contract
The Central American air navigation corporation (Cocesna) has received 10 bids for a contract to carry out land surveys for a planned airport in Costa Rica.
Spanish parties accounted for the largest proportion of bidders seeking the work, local newspaper El Nuevo Diario reported. Idom Ingenería y Consultoría, Sener Ingenería y Sistemas, Acciona Ingenería, and Ineco, were among Spanish players bidding either individually or as part of a consortium.
Costa Rica plans to build the airport in Orotina city, Alajuela province.
Others bidding for the contract include Dutch firm NACO, US firms Louis Berger and RS&H, and the UK company Mott MacDonald, the paper said.
