Aztec Minerals reported positive bottle roll gold recoveries from metallurgical testwork conducted by Bureau Veritas on the California porphyry gold-copper drill core from the Cervantes property in Sonora, Mexico.
Results include 85.1% recovery on 2.0mm material and 94.3% on 75 micron material in sample oxide 1, the company said in a statement.
Other results include 87.7% recovery on 2.0mm material and 94.2% on 75 micron material in sample oxide 2.

Auryn Resources released results from the first trench at the Fierrazo area of the Sombrero copper-gold project in southern Peru.
Trench 20 sampled 184m of 0.57% copper equivalent, including three higher grade intervals of 20m of 1.53% copper equivalent, 24m of 0.76% copper equivalent and 20m of 0.95% copper equivalent.
Trench 20 extends the copper-gold mineralization 1.5km to the northeast of previous results from trench 09, the company said in a release.

Royal Road Minerals published initial deep-auger soil geochemical results from its Luna Roja gold skarn project in the golden triangle region of northeast Nicaragua.
In total, 184 soil samples were collected from 25m centers on 200m spaced lines using a hand-held auger and sampling at depths of three to four meters below soil and saprolite, the company said in a press release.
Results range from below detection limit to a maximum of 21.9g/t gold and the mean of all results is 0.32g/t gold.
Royal Road said it is currently finalizing the drill permitting process at Luna Roja and expects to start a drilling program in Q3.

Prize Mining announced plans for the next phase of exploration at the company's Manto Negro copper property in Coahuila state, Mexico.
In the first phase of exploration completed recently the drilling program focused on two main copper rich mineralized zones: El Granizo and Don Indio.
Following the drilling of these two areas, it was decided to drill test two other zones south of Pilar Grande within the Don Indio claim, the company said in a statement.
