Mexico looking to award contract for new master development plan for Tuxpan port

The Tuxpan port administration authority (Asipona Tuxpan) in Mexico's Veracruz state is looking to award a contract at the end of October to modify the port’s 2022-27 master development plan.
The changes will be based on a market study, which is also included in the tender, records on procurement site Compranet show.
Bids are due to be submitted on October 24 and a winner will be chosen on October 31, according to the tender schedule.
According to a series of inquiries sent to Asipona Tuxpan, Consultores en Economía, Inversiones y Proyectos has so far been the only firm that has shown interest in the tender.
Tuxpan port’s master development plan was last updated in 2017 and a new version is due this year.
The program lays out the investments, projects and partnerships needed to achieve the port’s potential.
According to the port administration's website, "Tuxpan is the closest commercial and oil port to Mexico City and its metropolitan area" and added that recent highway upgrades "have made it a strategic port for international logistics connectivity: Arco Norte, the Mexico City-Tuxpan highway and the Tuxpan-Tampico highway."
