Mexico’s infrastructure, communications and transportation ministry (SICT) is receiving bids through January 10 for supervising construction of the 6bn-peso (US$303mn) Nichupté bridge in Quintana Roo state

The contract also requires a study, among others. Documents can be accessed via procurement site Compranet under ID LO-009000999-E236-2022.

So far, Armav Ingenieria and Triada Diseño, Gerencia y Construcción have shown interest and sent representatives to a session with authorities on January 3, records show.

The 8.8km bridge will cross the Nichupté lagoon in front of Cancún’s hotel district.

SICT awarded the construction contract to ICA in June. The project also includes an access road at Luis Donaldo Colosio boulevard and one at Kukulcan boulevard.
