“The trend in the profitability of the concessionary companies in the Metropolitan Region, Valparaíso and Antofagasta, have remained downward, directly benefiting the clients of these concession areas, which represents 88% of gas users. natural in the country”, indicated the sectorial authority.

Mancilla also highlighted that the returns obtained by the gas concession industry account for the way in which the aforementioned industry has disciplined itself with respect to its returns, which determined that the CNE's Annual Return Report was not disagreed by any of the companies before the Panel of Experts.

The Gas Services Law establishes for gas distribution concessionaire companies a regime of regulated tariff freedom with eventual pricing in the event of exceeding the maximum profitability limit established by law.
