Nicaragua seeks expressions of interest for water systems design

Nicaragua is requesting expressions of interest for studies and the design of 28 water supply networks in several communities. 

According to the call, available here, in Spanish, which was published on procurement platform Nicaraguacompra, four communities are in El Morrito municipality, San Juan department, 12 in the municipalities of San Rafael del Sur and Villa El Carmen, Managua department, and 12 in León municipality. 

Financing will come from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (Cabei) and is approved. 

The project aims to “improve the quality of life of families in the communities through the creation of a holistic project to supply water, sewage and hygiene, with vast citizen participation in all pre-investment stages, which would boost successful works execution and contribute to investment sustainability.”

Social emergency investment fund Fise will be in charge and review the documents submitted by interested parties, which should provide evidence of relevant experience.

The deadline to file all documents was pushed back from August 19 to September 2. 

The proposal detailing highest quality and lowest cost will be selected.
