Oi Soluções updates its portfolio and launches Wi-Fi 6E for companies as a complement to 5G
This is a machine translation of Oi's press release
São Paulo, October 26, 2022- Provider and orchestrator of digital solutions for the corporate market, Oi Soluções includes in its portfolio the Wi-Fi 6E, an evolution of Wi-Fi 6 wireless connectivity operating at the 6GHz frequency. Wi-Fi 6E is suitable for medium and large companies for its ability to guarantee stability and speed in environments with many users. The technology supports about 1,200 devices connected at the same time to the network, in addition to being more efficient in the use of frequencies and reducing interference between channels with other nearby networks.
Like 5G, Wi-Fi 6E offers a faster and more consistent connectivity experience, playing a key role in driving Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things market and virtual reality. The technology also works to improve internal coverage in 5G networks, causing the adoption of Wi-Fi 6E to be driven by the increase in these networks in Brazil.
“Wi-Fi 6E moves several sectors. In industry and commerce, technology enables internet access in areas of high density of users such as stores, factories and warehouses. In the financial sector, it enables the development of real-time applications, which require high speed and low latency”, explains the Head of IT products at Oi Soluções, Renato Simões. He also points out that Oi Soluções' hardware that supports Wi-Fi 6E is already integrated with its own analytics platform, which provides important information about user behavior, facilitating decision-making and business development.
Wi-Fi 6E complements Oi Soluções’ robust portfolio, made up of complete and integrated solutions for Security, Cloud, UC&C (Unified Communications and Collaboration), IoT, Big Data & Analytics, Digital Applications and Managed Services, in addition to data, internet and voice via fiber optics. With national operations, Oi's B2B is present in the largest public and private companies in the country. There are more than 1,500 executives exclusively serving the corporate segment, with a client portfolio comprising 40,000 companies from the most varied sectors.
