Paraguay: ANDE receives 11 bids for construction of 500 kV Yguazú-Valenzuela transmission line

In the framework of the Valenzuela 500 kV Substation Construction and Interconnection Project, the opening of the 11 bids submitted by companies interested in the construction of the 500 kV line was held on Friday, November 25 of the current year double ternary Yguazú –Valenzuela, through the International Public Tender IDB -JICA N° 1684/2

The planned investment for the Yguazú-Valenzuela LT 500 kV construction work is estimated at USD 133,286,000, and will be financed through loans co-financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), ad referendum of its approval by law of the Nation.

The construction of the 500 kV double ternary line, contemplated in the ANDE Master Works Plan for the period 2021-2030, is considered strategic for strengthening the Paraguayan electricity sector, and will enable energy integration of the countries of the region.
