PDV Marina initiated

Paraguaná, May 17, 2019.- Within the framework of the "Sovereign Oil Operation", PDV Marina started the "Take Over" plan, in the eight Lakemax-type boats owned by the Petróleos shipping subsidiary de Venezuela, SA (PDVSA), with the objective of guaranteeing and safeguarding the operation and safe navigation of the ships, thus counteracting the sabotage actions that were intended to be carried out in said navigation units.

The procedure started with the tankers "Ícaro" and "Teseo", anchored a few nautical miles from the Amuay base port, from the Paraguaná Refining Center, in the Falcón state, with the presence of the general manager of PDV Marina, Eduardo González.

The actions are executed through an established schedule, in all the boats that make up the Lakemax fleet, also known as "The Gods", which have a length of 243.97 meters, with a transportation capacity of 659,570.23 barrels of oil .

This is a historic operation for the socialist shipping company, in which, the teamwork has been the guarantor of success, due to the sum of wills among the workers and the workers of all the managements involved, for the achievement of the same objective : the rescue of our boats.
